911 Availability!
Clearwire understands the importanceof 911 service. Your Clearwire Phone Service will not be activated until your number has been tied directly to your address in the 911 database. This means that you can be certain that if you need to dial 911, the emergency personel will be able to locate you just as they would with a land-line phone.
Any VOIP 911 Service is slightly different than traditional phone service and is subject to outages due to power failure and internet connectivity issues. It is important that you educated yourself on the differences. Here are a couple of links for more information:

Keep Your Phone Number
Transferring your phone number to Clearwire is easy! Transferring the number usually takes less than 10 days, but can take up to 30 days to complete. During the transfer process we will provide you with a temporary phone number so that you can start to enjoy your Clearwire phone service immediately.
